Synapse

Interneuron space where the passage of nerve impulses occurs from one neuron to another. There are 100 trillion synapses occurring between 10²² neurons. All events that occur in the body are mediated by nerve impulses. In addition, neurons possess enormous plasticity to generate new connections that can be achieved through freedom and variety of activities.
