Contra viento y marea (Against wind and tide / Against all odds)

Video game created by UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) about the escape of a young from his home country to exile in the country of asylum, through tough conflict situations (oppression, wars , social rejection in the country of asylum...). This material aims to raise awareness about the adverse situations faced by the refugees and the adaptation to their new lives. His pedagogical foundation has its basis of Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights: 1. "In the case of persecution, everyone has the right to seek asylum, and to get it, in any country." 2. "This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations acts." The game also offers a comprehensive guide for teachers seeking to work awareness and understanding of the situation of refugees. Tools for discussion are also encouraged. Do you want to play?
